Imminent Thunder was a network of BBSs that sprang from my BBS, Imminent Thunder #1. These were all warez BBSs, most running Telegard or Renegade BBS software, as pirate boards did back then.

In order to build the largest pirate BBS network in Vancouver at the time, I drafted what amounted to a franchisee package. I was easily the most organized BBS operator out there, so recruiting nodes wasn't difficult.

This was my first BBS (for those too young to remember, look up "Bulletin Board System"). I ran it from midnight to 8am because I was sharing my parents' phone line at the time! Back then, I was running Remote Access (RA) BBS software.

I created door scripts, maintained a large offline file area, and frequently broke in for chats with my users. My chat alert music was a midi version of "Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns N Roses. Ah yes…
