I wrote a somewhat tongue-in-cheek sidebar for the UK magazine Xbox World 360. It's about how women will like Rockstar's Table Tennis game, for several reasons. It's also got a tiny personal slant to it (i.e. I managed to work in Lara's name.

Kenn Brown is the 37-year-old Vancouverite whose computer-generated imagery has regularly graced the covers and interiors of magazines such as Wired, Popular Science and Scientific American. I did a profile of him for Shift.com.

MTV recently stumbled across my site and asked me if I wanted to be on one of their shows. I'd be debating the topic "Videogames and Violence in Society" and I'd be arguing for the "Hogwash! Videogames don't cause violence!" side.

They sent me a questionnaire to prescreen me for the show and I've reprinted some of my answers to it here.

This is an article I wrote for the debut issue of a Canadian arts magazine called Hive. The theme of the issue was Construction, and my article sought to prove the worth of construction (aka creativity), beyond simply the value of its result.

Without an existing Hive editorial template to reference, it was very difficult to ascertain what they were looking for. So when the issue came out, I wasn't surprised to see that most of the articles were of a decidely different, less abstract, slant.

After Hive issue 00 was published, I edited the title and ending of my article to be something slightly more interesting. To read my revision, click "read more" below. A link to the Hive original is also included.

They say it's easiest to write what you know. This story is proof of that. It's the story of my motorcycle accident on June 4, 2000. I wrote it over about 10 hours time on a Sunday in February. It then became a web page with pics.

When the page was completed, I posted the link on several motorcycle websites I frequent. Soon it became another piece of net folklore as people forwarded and discussed it. People still thank me for writing this story.

Read the story.
