Last night I was flipping through channels, trying to find something to visually score my computer activities, when I saw a commercial for foodtv.ca and the launch of a new show chronicling restaurant startups. One of the talking heads was Tom Poirer, the bar manager from my days as a 19 year old bartender in Vancouver.

8,000 people showed up to watch the Leafs practice, just because they recently traded for Owen Nolan - one of the league's best power forwards.

That's 8,000 people. Just to watch a practice. There are teams in this league that can't draw that many people to a GAME.

Well I spent FAR too much time uploading old photos into the gallery last night. Now there are over 400 photos in the system, all exquisitely sorted and meticulously captioned. If that doesn't say something about the anal-retentiveness of my personality, I'm not sure what does.

Had an incredibly good time in Montreal this weekend. I had never been there, so Mary and I bought tickets to a Canucks/Canadiens NHL game and drove up for the weekend (about a 5 hour trip).
